the woes and triumphs of a semi-fail black friday

i was expecting pandemonium.
i was expecting trampling to rival both the dramatics and gore of a WWII-era epic.
i was expecting bare racks, angry customers, and the continuous honking of horn.
instead, i arrived to see a perfectly subdued and, well, dramaless buena park mall.
t’was rather disappointing.
i spent the majority of my time wandering about the mall, seeing if there was anything worth getting. there were, of course, good deals, but hardly any that fit within my price range.
i ended up at wal*mart, where every other cart contained an hd television (which i think look like absolute shit. i’d rather not have random specks and pixels flashing in and out of my picture, thank you very much. [then again, this might just be envy speaking. either way, onward we go.])
by this point, i was fairly bored, but i was hankering for some merchandise. so, after 10 or so minutes of weaving in and out of cart orgies, i ended up with sony mdr-v150 (yay for specificity!) headphones, 5 or so cans of soup, and store brand potato chips. i also managed to get the last remaining sour cream container in the store.
and it wasn’t expired.

i’m just that damn good.
(in un-fittable-in-the-main-text news, i also got 28 days later for 5 bucks. score? i think so.)
